Emma Munro

I am a qualified counsellor with a passion for working alongside people to support them to grow and face the challenges in their lives.

I have spent the last eight years working in the social services sector with a multitude of clients, and have an interest in working with neurodivergent adults (18+) and supporting adults in the LGBTQIA+ community.

In my spare time I enjoy connecting with friends and whānau, crocheting, and gaming.

My approach to counselling

I practice from a pluralistic perspective, drawing on relational modalities to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy. Primarily, I use person-centred therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).

As a client, what this means for you is that we will work together in our sessions to gain a shared understanding of your experiences, and find ways to move through your challenges.

I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
